Brownies with banana flour
- 250 g of butter
- 200 g of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
- 4 eggs
- 350 g of sugar
- 80 g of cocoa powder
- 65 g Amaizin banana flour
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp spices, such as cinnamon, cardamom or ginger
- Optional: 200 g chopped nuts, pieces of dried fruit, or pieces of chocolate
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cover a baking tin with baking paper.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl on a pan with slowly boiling water (au bain marie). Stir in the vanilla essence and the chopped nuts or dried fruit if you decided to use it.
In another bowl, mix the cocoa powder, banana flour, baking powder and sugar. Add the spices of your choice.
Mix the dry ingredients with the melted chocolate.
Beat the eggs and mix them with the batter. Put the batter in the baking tin and put it in the oven.
Bake the brownie for about 25 minutes. The edges must be dry and crumbly, but the inside must still be soft and not completely cooked. Allow the brownie to cool in the baking tin and then cut into chunks.
Delicious with some whipped cream or crème fraîche!
